The BBC wanted a quote about some study that says that playing driving games makes you speed in your car. Well the joy of not working for a publisher is that I don't have to give politically correct answers. It's dumb.
A good friend of mine has set up a charity for children, by making video games. It's a cool idea and I'm doing all I can to support it. So sign up for their newsletter and keep an eye on this very interesting concept. (They will reveal more of their plans later.)

I'm on the Advisory Board of the IGDA and Westwood College, so when they have a Demo Reel Night, I get invited to help judge the demo reels. We're not really JUDGING, we are really just giving feedback. But it's a fun process and I wish all colleges were doing it with local professionals.

(Tommy has made a ton of games, is running the Video Games Live Concerts, he's a host of probably the longest running video game TV show in the world, he runs GANG (a non-profit supporting game musicians all over the world), he runs the Audio Track at the Game Developers conference, and he speaks at lots of schools and universities etc.) He's a good example of someone that gives back every chance he gets.
Violence in games is an issue that comes up every now and again based on the political climate. TAKE 2 fuelled the fire when cornered on Grand Theft Auto, and just like Janet Jackson showing breast at the Super Bowl, we all pay the price now.
